The Cosmetology and Spa Academy was established in 1998. Cosmetology and Spa Academy in Crystal Lake offers incoming students classroom schedules that help to fit the students’ needs as well as offering licensing in Barbering, Esthetics, and Cosmetology. This campus offers a full range of salon, barber, and spa services where the students learn hands-on practical skills on live models and real mannequins while receiving individualized attention from our highly skilled instructors. The campus has good equipment for our students to learn from our shampoo area to our spa area. We believe that giving students the real-world experience in our school is the best way to prepare them for their future beauty career.

					First time, and really wish I knew about this place years ago. I went to get my gray hair dyed... read more and was paired up with a lovely young lady named Jen. She really went all out, taking care to do a spectacular job on my hair. She also cut my hair. It is the best hair cut I've ever had, hands down. The instructor (Mr. Kurt) was absolutely fabulous as well. He met me when I arrived, and made me feel very welcomed. Since I have never had my hair dyed before, he explained going with a very light blonde would require quite a lot up keep (more than I was willing to do). So with a shade chosen, the work began. Jen and Mr. Kurt collaborated very well with each other to ensure my hair looked its very best.   I'm looking forward to my next visit. I'm also looking forward to trying some of the Spa services that are offered. Their prices are more than reasonable. My only complaint is that the chair is a bit to hard. Next time I'm bringing a cushion. 🙂

					My first time at Cosmetology & Spa Academy and I'd be happy to return. The students are eager to learn... read more and do a good job. I received a very relaxing facial from Madison. She thoroughly reviewed my skin before starting and addressed any concerns I have. Her and her teacher also provided feedback on what I should include in my skin care routine for healthy results. A week later and my skin still feels soft and looks great!
